Better Days is a student-founded mental health initiative centered on presence, connection, and quiet care.
Founded in September 2022, Better Days began with handwritten notes—small reminders that someone was thinking of someone else.
What started as a simple act of encouragement has grown into an evolving initiative exploring how meaningful human connection can be fostered across educational, healthcare, and community spaces.
Because care doesn't have to be extraordinary to be meaningful.
The One Note Project
The One Note Project is the signature initiative of Better Days: an ongoing invitation to write one handwritten note of encouragement, appreciation, or care and offer it to another person.
There is no required response, no photo to share, and no expectation that the recipient pass it forward.
One note can simply be one note.
Care is an invitation, not an obligation.
Write one note. Offer it freely. Let it be enough.
A little more connection. Right where we are.
Better Days is exploring how small, low-pressure forms of connection could live within college communities.
One concept in development is the Better Days Campus Kit: a small, accessible collection of handwritten encouragement, opportunities to write a note for someone else, and relevant support resources.
receive care → offer care → pass it forward
Participation remains optional at every step.
